The Neck Vase features a precise transition partway down the profile creating not only a distinctive form but an opportunity to showcase our love of glaze and its many beautiful and unexpected combinations. To create this Clay Studio-exclusive glaze technique, three glazes are layered on the bowl's surface, then a wire comb is gently dragged through them to reveal thin lines of color underneath. The resulting pattern on each piece is unique. The Neck Vase has become a favorite of Clay Studio Director Tung Chiang.
